Worthiness is something that has been apart of me since birth.
I was born worthy, and so were you. We were born with infinite love. Being aligned with our authentic self is being aligned to a self of worthiness and love. These are not things we have to chase, they are stitched into our bones.
It is hard for me to remember this. As I am sure it is hard for you as well.
But the thing is, we create stories. Stories that pull us away from our worthiness. We think these stories are our truths. That our accomplishments equate to worth. We believe that the earrings dangling from our ears and the pants hugging our skin enhance our worth. Society helps us generate endless stories of worth, telling us that numbers boost our morale and our outer shells make us more lovable by others.
We become attached to thoughts that tell us material possessions will make us happier, or reaching a certain number on the scale will increase our confidence. We believe the stories that shrinking our body will lead to feelings of adequateness. These thoughts, these stories… they are all wrong. We have become conditioned to believe them and live by them.
But in living our truth, we must shed the deepest layers of our skin. Removing the stories we have been living by for so long. We must realize that in embodying our truth comes with being aligned to the innermost parts of ourself where our worthiness and love has been all along.
I have to remind myself of this every. single. day. I have to make decisions that are in line with my soul. I have to stop running for a feeling of worthiness and love, for in seeking outwards for all these answers; I’m forgetting the most crucial thing- the answers have always existed within my soul.
You didn’t come into this world.
You came out of it, like a wave from the ocean. You are not a stranger here.
